In Mexico D.F. for Dish Latino

Juan has been contacted by Flavio Dumaine from Miami-based Bonsai 3 for the new graphic campaign of Dish Latino. The satellite-TV monster company is filming several commercials in Mexico D.F. and Juan is shooting during these long sessions.

Punta del Este for Arquitectura & Diseño (Spain)

March issue of Arquitectura & Diseño Magazine from Spain has just been released. It features a story shot by Juan with Sol Van Dorssen in Punta del Este. An amazing house on the beach by architect Martin Gomez gave the team many fascinating views and spaces to produce terrific pictures.

Urban exploration for Graffigna

Juan has been recently shooting for Pernod Ricard on the production of a marketing kit for Graffigna wines to be used in the fast-growing markets of USA and Canada. Jean del Pino and Estefania Jacobs from the winery, alongside Federico Lleonart, Brand Ambassador of Graffigna, worked on the development of a contemporary picture style to address the bold spirit of Graffigna Centenario wines.

Patio Bullrich

Juan has just started contributing with Patio Bullrich shopping mall. Pilar Calegari from Estudio Fbdi contacted Juan to produce marketing images for Buenos Aires most prestigious mall. A first stage was completed recently under the direction of Soledad Mendoza.

Story for Arquitectura & Diseño (Spain)

This house in the traditional Punta del Este style is located in the stylish San Rafael neighborhood and is surrounded by imposing Pinus Elliotti trees.

New covers for BIS Records, Sweden

David Kornfeld, graphic designer at BIS, has been closely working with Juan since 2002 in the production of high-impact covers suitable for the diverse titles in the ever-growing BIS catalog.

New cover for MA Recordings (California)

Todd Garfinkle, factotum of MA Recordings based in Encino, California, has chosen this old-looking picture by Juan for the new recording by Bach's Flute Sonatas (Vol. 1). The playing by Diana Barone is sheer joy. A second image, also part of the same series based on pears, will be used for Vol 2 when released.

At La Fortuna for Massimo Ianni

Juan made this portrait at La Fortuna, a super-chic estancia owned by Massimo Ianni. Massimo has got an impressive career, being responsible for the Faena Hotel + Universe, Alrov Hotels and recently for Armani Hotels and Resorts.

Juan spent some days at San Juan shooting the Graffigna estates and winery for Estefania Jacobs and Jean del Pino at Pernod Ricard. Amazing views. And wine, of course.

Novecento Cuvee for Dante Robino

Alex Smink and Morita Marino from El Camino hired Juan to shoot the new campaign for Novecento Cuvee, sparkling by Dante Robino Wineries. The campaign should be out already.

"Ventanas al futuro 2011" award

Juan is proud to share the fact that he has been awarded the "Ventanas al futuro, 2011" (Windows to the future, 2011) award for his lifetime contribution to the development of Architecture through his photographic work by CAyC (Centro de Arte y Comunicacion) and Parex/Klaukol. The award acknowledges the work of confirmed professionals and young talents and is intended to encourage originality in architecture. The members of the jury are acclaimed architects and designers such as Carlos Sallaberry, Roberto Converti, Enrique Cordeyro, Carlos Dibar, Juan Carlos Fervenza, Miguel Jurado, Daniel Muñiz y Enrique Pichon Riviere. The awards ceremony will be held November 30th, 2011.

El Porteño Building vintage pictures

Juan unearthed a bunch of vintage photographs of El Porteño for Alan Faena. They were taken with a 4x5 inch view camera in July 1999, long time before this magnificent building became the Faena Hotel & Residences. They look terrific, and the scans from the original T-Max plates are amazing in their resolution and rendering of tones. Alan is planning to use them in many of his forthcoming projects.

I was lucky enough to have a private concert of Dino, Felix and Jose Saluzzi at my studio. Some ancestor must have surely done something really good during his lifetime for me to deserve such a privilege!

At Ellerstina Polo Club for El Esteco

On a wonderful Spring day (September 21st) I was lucky enough to shoot Gonzalo Pieres, the world's No. 1 polo player, for the new Don David campaign. El Esteco Winery was the client, Pintor Corporate the Ad agency. A true pleasure working with longtime friend Oscar Pintor.

Juan shot the (classic, already) JIM chair for Bettina Rossi. FF is their graphic design agency.

Casa FOA 2011 for Rielamericano

Juan documented interior design projects at CASA FOA 2011. The show, held at the Centro Metropolitano de Diseño in Barracas, BA, was sponsored by Rielamericano and Whirlpool among other companies. The Advertising Agency for Rielamericano is Non Stop Branding (NSB). The Account Manager is Mariela Zucchi.

Zaira Nara for Dunlop

The campaign is out on magazines! Coty Asis and Laura Gioda from Dunlop have been a joy to work with; Zaira is really beautiful and funny. No maten al Mono was the ad agency. A wonder!

Penelope Dianda from Pramer has been doing an outstanding job based on the many portraits Juan has shot for El Gourmet channel. Penelope, Juan and Paula Zelicovich, also from Pramer, have been working together for many years. It shows!

While walking out of the Subway at Delancey Street Station in NYC Juan found a poster with the portraits of Martin Llorens he made in August 2010 for the Utilisima Channel owned by Fox.
